Biography

Andrea Querol is a therapist who holds an MBA in Clinical and Family Psychology. She coordinated a therapeutic community in Lima and has worked as a psychotherapist for over 15 years in the areas of social and community prevention. She also specializes in extra-judicial mediation. She has worked with public and private institutions in Canada and Venezuela, acting as an advisor to senior management. She has served as a consultant to national and international organizations for over 20 years and is currently the executive director of Capital Humano y Alternativo Social.

Andrea is one of the founders of Mirada Ciudadana, the first surveillance group formed in Peru for human trafficking, migrant smuggling and missing persons. In her current position, she has conducted a number of studies and has authored and edited numerous publications about human exploitation and trafficking in Peru. She is also a board of several private service and consulting organizations. As director of CHS Alternativo, she represents civil society, acting in coordination with public measures against human trafficking. Andrea is also a member of numerous international networks working in this field at the global level, and in Latin America in particular. In Peru, CHS Alternativo has finalised cooperation agreements with the Ombudsman and official entities in the Peruvian Congress. Andrea speaks fluent Spanish, English, French and German.
