PROGRAM OFFICER:
GO Campaign is seeking a full-time Program Officer to manage grant portfolios in Africa and Asia. Reporting to the Founder & CEO, the Program Officer will:
- Manage and evaluate a portfolio of grants to ensure grantees comply with grant awards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with assigned grantees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with grantees and understand current trends, activities, and changes in the community and international development sector.
- Support the Programming team with (a) the current transition to a new grant management system and (b) projects relating to the 2024 Strategic Plan
- Collaborate with all other GO Campaign departments.
- Possess excellent communication, analytical skills, and knowledge of grant management.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for international development and a proven track record of success in grant management. They will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Salary Range: $59,000-$66,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Location: Los Angeles-based candidates preferred
Description of Responsibilities
Grant Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of priority grants in Africa and Asia, serving as the primary contact with grantees.
- Monitor grant progress, review completed grants and assess outcome achievement.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress and partners’ active needs to GO Campaign staff.
- Maintain strong rapport with grantees, building and nurturing relationships, and keeping informed on community issues and events that impact their organization or grant award.
- Ensure partners’ adherence to grant management requirements (agreements, disbursements, reports, etc).
- Analyze financial documents to assess proper use of grant funds.
- Work in tandem with the Accounting team on grant disbursement management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant files and database records.
- Prepare presentation materials for GO Campaigns’ Board of Directors each grant-making cycle for funding consideration.
Research & Grantmaking
- Identify organizations with strong potential for partnership; research, analyze, and conduct due diligence, including meeting with potential partners and analysis of financial documents.
- Facilitate ongoing communication with partners by organizing regular touch points; monitor the performance of grants and analyze progress reports in line with performance milestones to support grantee partner success
- Prepare and contribute to written materials, including funding recommendations, project summaries, and partner updates.
- Actively work with the Communications and Development teams to capture, develop, share, and utilize knowledge to lift the work of grantees.
- Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective partners; maintain an understanding of the challenges that partners face.
- Provide direction and assistance in the areas of grant writing, capacity building, fundraising and operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in international development, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in grant and relationship management within the nonprofit sector.
- Knowledge and experience regarding the regions' socioeconomic and nonprofit climates are preferred, but not required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with grantees and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a diplomatic and tactful approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess grant outcomes and financial stewardship.
- Knowledge of grant management and reporting software, such as WizeHive and Airtable.
- Passion for GO Campaign's mission and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children worldwide.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
