Biography

Hannie, a life-long resident of Pearston, has been involved at Sunshine Crèche since it opened 16 years ago when she started as a volunteer helping the teachers in the classroom. Hannie loved working with the students, and the experience helped her realize her passion and talent for working with 2-5 year old children. She eventually became a fully qualified early childhood development practitioner, currently the only one in Pearston, and started teaching at the Crèche. Over the years, she took on more responsibility at the school, and she now serves as the Director of Sunshine Crèche. She is committed to ensuring that every child at her school receives the care and attention he or she needs in order to learn.

Since 1994, over 2,500 children have graduated from the pre-school program at Sunshine Crèche and have successfully entered primary school. The staff at Sunshine Crèche have also successfully been able to address the needs of the special needs students enrolled at the school and provide these children with the individual attention and support they need in order to learn.
