PRISCELLA MANUELITO

Biography


Priscella Manuelito is a member of the Navajo (Dine) people. She has been a life-long community member of Thoreau, attendeding Thoreau Elementary School and also graduating from Thoreau High School. Following this, Priscella earned her degree in Multi-cultural Early Childhood Education and continued her education in Nursing. Priscella has served in several leadership roles, including the Presidency, on the Thoreau Community Center Board of Directors. Later, she was named the next Executive Director of the Center – a role she still serves proudly today.  

The Thoreau Community Center was founded in 2010 to address the high rates of teen suicide in the community. Since its founding, TCC has invested deeply in its youth and has even created a Youth Leadership Board to give them a voice in their daily lives. Over 100 youth have benefitted from the care, inspiration, and services of TCC.
